Add Channel Users

You can add channel users and child channel users. Child channel users can be created only if there is a channel user in the parent category. Operator's (Channel Administrator's) approval may be required to add a channel user depending on the configuration settings.

Creating channel users involves the following operations:

To add a channel user:

     Channel user > Add channel user

The Add channel user screen is displayed.

  1. From the Domain drop-down list, select the channel domain under which a channel user is to be added.

  2. From the Category drop-down list, select the channel category of the channel user.

  3. From the Parent category drop-down list, select the parent category of the channel user.

  4. Click Submit.

The Add channel user details screen is displayed.

  1. In First name, enter the first name of the channel user.

  2. In User name prefix, enter the prefix of the channel user.

  3. In Language, enter the language of the user.

  4. In Web login ID, enter the login ID to access the Web application.

  5. In Web password, enter the password to log in to the application.

  6. In Confirm password, enter the same password.

  7. Click Assign phone numbers to assign phone numbers to the channel user to perform transaction through SMS:

  1. Select the Primary number option.

  2. In Number, enter the mobile number to be assigned to the channel user.

  3. From the Profile drop-down list, select the profile to be assigned to the channel user.

  4. In Description, enter the description.

  5. Click Add.

  1. Click Assign geographies to assign geographies to the channel user.

  1. Select the geographical areas to be assigned.

  2. Click Add.

  1. Click Assign roles to assign roles to the channel user:

  1. Select the Associated roles check box to select all roles; else, select individual check boxes to assign specific roles.

  2. Click Add.

  1. Click Assign services to assign services to the channel user.

  1. Select the Associated services check box to select all services; else, select individual check boxes to assign specific services.

  2. Click Add.

  1. Click Save to add the details.

  2. Click Confirm.

If user creation does not require Channel Administrators' approval, the following additional fields are displayed on the screen:

Note: User creation may require up to two levels of approval from Channel Administrators. The required number of approval levels depends on the configuration settings. If approval is not required, the newly created channel user account gets activated immediately.
